Grilling after dark with a phone flashlight in one hand is a solvable problem. BBQ grill lights are task fixtures, arrow heads, bullets and deck mounts, positioned to light the cooking surface itself, so you can see whether the steak is done without moving it to the porch light. Ours mount to the outdoor kitchen structure, a deck rail or the counter itself.

Task Light, Not Area Light

The grill surface needs direct, aimed light from above or beside the cook, close enough to render color honestly. Area lighting around the patio does not do this, it lights the cook’s back and shadows the food. A dedicated grill light is aimed at the grates.
Flexible arms and adjustable arrow heads let the beam follow the work, from grill to side burner to cutting board.

Mounting Around Heat and Weather

A grill light lives next to heat, grease and weather all at once. Fixtures are mounted to the structure beside or behind the grill, out of the direct heat plume, with metal bodies and glass lenses that tolerate the environment and wipe clean.
Deck mount and weighted base versions solve carts and islands where nothing is drillable.

Tying Into the Outdoor Kitchen

Grill lights usually join the low voltage landscape system or the kitchen structure’s own circuit. On a switch by the grill, they behave like the kitchen task lights they are, on when cooking, off when the patio goes back to ambient light.
