Where lighting ideas turn into real lighting solutions

Light Pole Accessories

Anchor bolts, base covers, arms, tenons, vibration dampers and the hardware that keeps pole systems standing.

Pole hardware is invisible until it is missing. Anchor bolts, base covers, mounting arms, tenon adapters, hand hole covers and vibration dampers are the difference between a pole system that goes up clean and one that stalls at the foundation stage waiting on a bolt pattern. This is the aisle where those problems get solved.

About Our Light Pole Accessories

From base covers to tenon adaptors, LED Spot carries the light pole accessories a parking lot project calls for, built from steel and finished to hold up outdoors. Each part you add to the top of a pole also adds to its effective projected area (EPA), the wind-facing area the pole has to carry, so arms, bull horns and fixtures get checked together. Our light pole selection guide lays out that check in order: luminaire, bracket, fixture EPA, pole height, then pole EPA at your site wind speed.

The Hardware Between Fixture and Pole

Fixtures and poles rarely bolt straight together. Arms set the fixture out from the pole at the right angle, slipfitters and tenon adapters translate one mounting standard to another, and drill patterns have to match on both ends. Getting this interface right on paper is cheaper than discovering it wrong at the top of a lift.
Tell us the fixture and pole you are joining and we will spec the exact arm or adapter between them.

Anchor Bolts, Templates and Base Covers

Foundations get poured before poles arrive, so anchor bolt sets and paper templates carry all the precision of the installation. A bolt circle off by half an inch is a jackhammer problem. Base covers then close the connection off from water and give the pole a finished foot. They belong on anchor-based poles, the kind bolted through a base plate, because a direct burial pole has no exposed plate or bolts to protect. Clamshell covers close around a pole that is already standing, while drop-over covers slide down from the top, so the fixture comes off first. More on fit and materials in all about light pole base covers.
Replacement covers and bolt sets for existing poles are stocked too, because twenty year old plastic covers do not survive mowers.

Dampers, Covers and Long-Term Survival

Tall poles in steady wind build up vibration that fatigues metal over years. Vibration dampers absorb that energy and are cheap insurance on exposed sites. Hand hole covers keep water and wasps out of the wiring compartment, and both disappear from poles constantly.
If your lot has poles missing any of this, replacing it costs almost nothing against what corrosion in an open base does.

Frequently Asked Questions

Anchor bolts and template for the foundation, the correct arm or tenon for the fixture, a base cover, and on exposed sites a vibration damper.

Yes. Base and hand hole covers are stocked as replacements, not just with new poles.

It translates the pole top to the fixture’s mounting standard, letting slipfitter fixtures mount on drilled poles and vice versa.

Steady wind builds resonant vibration in tall poles that fatigues metal over time. Dampers absorb it and extend pole life on open sites.

Send both part numbers or photos and we will identify the arm or adapter with the right fit and drill pattern.

Anchor-based poles, the ones bolted to a concrete pier through a base plate. The cover shields the plate and anchor bolts from rainwater running down the shaft, oil and pet urine at ground level, and bumps from carts and mowers. Direct burial poles have no exposed base and do not use one. See our guide to light pole base covers for materials and sizing.

Light Pole Accessory Guides and Resources

What a base cover does, the poles it fits, and how to match a cover to the pole size and shape.

A step-by-step checklist for a complete light pole order, from pole type and height to shaft size and wall gauge.

How to choose a pole: pick the fixture and bracket, look up the fixture EPA, then match pole height to the wind load at your site.

What a fixture EPA wind rating means and when it decides which pole, arm and fixture combination will work.

Why lighter, flatter LED fixtures changed the wind load that poles and arms have to carry.
