Where lighting ideas turn into real lighting solutions

Surface Mount Ceiling Lights

Ceiling-hugging fixtures for spaces with no plenum to recess into.

Plenty of ceilings have nothing behind them to recess a fixture into: solid decks, exposed structure, back-of-house corridors, stairwells, storage rooms. Surface mount fixtures solve them by living entirely below the ceiling plane, wiring straight to a junction box and putting broad, even light into the room without opening anything.

About Our Surface Mount Lights

Used for many indoor scenarios, surface mounted ceiling fixtures provide smooth, even light for rooms of all size. LED Spot carries top quality indoor fixtures for long-lasting, energy efficient lighting solutions.

Where Surface Mount Is the Right Answer

Concrete decks, wood-framed ceilings without depth, and any retrofit where opening the ceiling costs more than the lighting: this is surface mount territory. Stairwells, mechanical rooms, corridors and utility spaces make up most of the category’s working life.
Modern LED surface fixtures are slim enough that the trade against recessed is smaller than it used to be.

Round Drums, Squares and Linears

Round drum and puck fixtures carry rooms and corridors. Square and rectangular versions read more architectural in lobbies and offices. Linear surface fixtures run continuous lines along corridors and work areas where a row of points would look busy.
All mount to standard boxes, and occupancy-sensor versions run stairwells and storage at low level until someone enters.

Choosing Output for Low Ceilings

Surface fixtures usually hang on lower ceilings, close to eyes, so glare control and diffusion matter more than raw output. A diffused fixture at modest output lights a small room more comfortably than a bright point ever will.
Wet-listed versions carry the same job into stairwell exteriors, canopies and covered walkways.
