The multi-purpose sports pole is the workhorse under many of our court lighting systems: a 17.5 foot, two piece square steel pole with a hand hole set above the base and a hinged mechanism that makes fixture service realistic without a bucket truck. About Our Multi-Purpose Sports Pole

The 17.5-foot, 2-piece square steel pole is constructed with a hand hole that is located 1’ 6” above the pole base.The hinge mechanism is build with two locks in order to prevent unwarranted tampering. Available in metal halide or LED options, finishes, and voltage options. Includes anchor bolts. Optional net winch available upon request (additional fees apply, net not included).

Why a Hinged Pole Changes Maintenance

Everything on top of a pole eventually needs attention. On a fixed pole that means lift equipment, which for a homeowner or a small facility means hiring the job out. A hinged base lets the pole lower for fixture access at ground level.
That single feature is why we spec this pole so often on residential and club courts: the first service visit pays for the difference.
