CLS LLBS1 Silicone Encapsulated LED Bayonet Lamp 1W Single Contact

Low path lights and step lights along a walk need just enough light to read the ground, not to flood it. The CLS LLBS1 is a 1 watt, 100 lumen bayonet LED in 2700K or 3000K (chosen when ordering) that CLS lists as the replacement for a 20 watt halogen in single contact sockets.

Single or double contact, and 1 or 3 watts?

Look at the socket first. A single contact socket has one button on the floor, a double contact socket has two, and the lamp has to match. If the socket is single contact but you need more light, the LLBS3 keeps the same base at 3 watts and 270 lumens. The LLBD1 and LLBD3 are the double contact versions at 1 and 3 watts.

Why silicone potting matters in a path fixture

Path fixtures sit low, catch sprinkler water and trap humidity under the hat. CLS seals the LED capsule in silicone over a ceramic base, rated IP54, so moisture has a harder time reaching the circuitry. With a 9 to 17 volt operating range it keeps working near the far end of a long path run.
