Existing MR16 spotlights and up lights can take on color for holidays and events without replacing the fixture. The CLS LL16R is a 4.5 watt smart MR16 lamp in a die-cast aluminum body that mixes RGB color with tunable white.
How is the lamp controlled?
It connects by WiFi or Bluetooth to the Tuya app, which handles color, white tuning, dimming, scheduling and grouping several lamps together so they change at the same time.
How bright is it in white compared with color?
CLS publishes 225 lumens in white mode at 6.1 VA. Single colors are much lower: about 110 lumens green, 33 lumens red and 14 lumens blue. Plan color scenes for shorter throws and accent targets, and use white for anything that needs real reach.
Will it fit my current spotlights?
It uses a standard GU5.3 bi-pin MR16 base and is listed for 12 volt AC systems, so it fits fixtures built around that base. Choose a 45 or 60 degree beam. The housing is IP54 rated, so use it in an enclosed fixture.
