CLS LL3617 Waterproof PAR36 LED Bulb 17W

The CLS LL3617 is the top of the LL36 PAR36 series: 17 watts, 1300 lumens, and a 100 watt halogen equivalent on the CLS list. Reach for it on the tallest specimen trees, multi-story wall planes and wide washes where a smaller lamp leaves the upper half in shadow.

Do you need 17 watts, or will 13 do?

The 13 watt LL3613 gives 1130 lumens, so the step up adds 170 lumens for 4 more watts. On a very tall oak or a high gable, that extra reach can matter. On a medium tree, the 13 watt or even the 10 watt LL3610 at 800 lumens usually looks more natural and keeps the transformer load down.

What transformer capacity should you plan for?

High wattage lamps add up fast. Total every fixture on the transformer, leave headroom rather than loading it to the limit, and check voltage drop on the long runs that tend to feed big trees. The LL3617 is rated for 9 to 17 volts AC.

What do you choose at checkout?

A 38 degree beam for height or 60 degrees for spread, and 2700K or 3000K for color. The die-cast aluminum housing is waterproof, thermo protective and IP67 rated, with a 50,000 hour L70 life.
