What Is a Photometric Design and Why Does It Matter?

A photometric layout is a model of your space with the fixtures placed on it, calculating the light level at every point on the surface. It shows the average level, the uniformity between the brightest and darkest points, and where light spills past the property line.
Without one you are guessing at fixture count, pole height and spacing. With one you know the foot-candle reading at any point before a single fixture is ordered, which is the difference between lighting a lot once and lighting it twice. Free photometric design is available on request.

How Does the Low Voltage Wire Calculator Work?

Voltage drop is the most common fault in landscape lighting. The further current travels and the thinner the cable, the more voltage is lost, and the fixtures at the end of a run go dim and shift warmer in color.
