How does the CL01A differ from an adjustable soffit light?
It is a fixed downlight that points straight down, and it is sealed to IP65 against water jets and dust. Pick it for exposed eaves and porch ceilings. When you need to aim at a wall from a dry, covered soffit, an adjustable model such as the CL02A is the better fit.
Does the deep lamp position reduce glare?
Yes. The lamp sits recessed in the housing, so the source is shielded from direct view as people walk underneath. That makes it comfortable over entries and seating.
What lamp and parts are included?
The ceramic GU5.3 socket with retaining clips takes an MR16 LED up to 8 watts or a halogen up to 50 watts, chosen for the beam and color you want. There is no lens, stainless steel clips hold it in the ceiling, and CLS includes a coupler.
