Eaves, porch ceilings and covered soffits are a natural place to light a facade, a column or an entry from above. The CLS CL02A is a recessed soffit fixture with an adjustable gimbal that holds a 12 volt MR16 lamp, in a matte black finish.
Why choose an adjustable gimbal in a soffit?
A fixed downlight only points straight down. The multi-directional aim on the CL02A lets you tilt the lamp toward a wall, a window frame or a stone column while the fixture stays flush in the ceiling.
Where can I use an IP20 fixture?
IP20 means the fixture is not sealed against water, so keep it in covered, dry ceiling locations such as deep soffits and porch ceilings. For a ceiling exposed to rain or spray, look at a sealed model like the CL01A.
Which MR16 lamp works here?
The ceramic GU5.3 socket with retaining clips accepts an MR16 LED up to 8 watts or a halogen up to 50 watts. The fixture is open with no lens, and the die-cast aluminum housing is held in the ceiling by stainless steel tension springs.
