Long stair runs and wide deck steps need more light per fixture than a small riser light can give. The CLS IDL03B is a solid cast brass integrated LED step light with a 5 watt engine, measuring 9 by 2.9 inches with a 0.9 inch depth, finished in Antique Bronze.
How bright is a 5 watt step light?
At 5 watts it is one of the stronger step lights in the CLS line, a good match for broad treads, landings and commercial stairs. The 60 degree beam at 2700K puts warm light down onto the walking surface.
Does it need a recessed box?
No. The low profile body mounts flush to wood, stone or masonry without a recessed junction box, which helps on retrofit work where cutting a pocket into the wall is not practical.
What voltage does it run on?
CLS lists it for 12 to 24V. The LED engine is factory sealed behind a clear tempered glass lens and the fixture is rated IP65.
