Ponds, fountains and water features come alive when light comes up from under the surface onto a spray, a boulder or a waterfall face. The CLS UWL01B is a submersible MR16 spotlight in die-cast brass with an IP68 rating, a weighted horseshoe base and a 24 foot lead.
Does it need to be bolted to the pond floor?
No. The weighted horseshoe base holds the fixture in place on the bottom without mechanical fastening, so it can be moved as plantings and stones shift. Side knobs let you tilt the head to set the vertical aim.
How does it keep water out?
CLS uses silicone gaskets, stainless steel hardware and a factory sealed cable entry that stops water from wicking up the lead. The tempered convex glass lens resists algae and mineral buildup, though any underwater fixture benefits from periodic cleaning.
Which lamp works best under water?
The ceramic GU5.3 socket takes an MR16 LED (max 8W) or halogen (max 50W). Narrow beams reach up through deeper water to a spray or rock face, and wider beams fill a shallow basin. The fixture measures 5.25 by 4.42 by 3.24 inches in Antique Bronze.
