A system that looks right at 9 pm can feel too bright by midnight, and a dimmer on the low voltage side lets you fine tune it. The CLS A14 is a low voltage digital dimmer for 12VAC landscape circuits, rated IP67 and built for a 10 amp maximum current.
How much load can it dim?
Maximum load is 120 watts at 10 amps. There is no minimum load, so it works on a lightly loaded LED run with only a few fixtures. It operates on 50 to 60 Hz.
Total the dimmable fixture wattage on the circuit and keep it under 120 watts.
Which lamps will dim with it?
CLS lists compatibility with dimmable LED, incandescent and halogen landscape lamps. Make sure every LED lamp on the circuit is rated dimmable.
What protects it on the circuit?
A self resetting short circuit protection and transient surge suppression are built in. The UV resistant composite housing resists cracking, and pre-drilled flanges allow vertical or horizontal mounting.
