Larger canopy trees and wide stone or stucco walls call for more than 800 lumens, and the CLS TLL3613 steps up to 1130 lumens on 13 watts. CLS lists it as the match for an 80 watt halogen and builds it in its PAR36C Tornado style, with a wider lens.
Which color temperature should you order?
The TLL3613 is offered in 2700K or 3000K, chosen when ordering. Use the same color temperature on every lamp in a scheme to keep the warm tone consistent.
Is the 13 watt the right step in the TLL36 range?
The 10 watt TLL3610 delivers 800 lumens and the 17 watt TLL3617 delivers 1300. The TLL3613 sits between them: a clear gain over the 10 watt for taller trees, without the full load of the 17 watt. On a system with many tree lights, that difference in wattage adds up on the transformer.
Which beam should you order?
Choose 20 or 38 degrees to reach height or 60 degrees to spread across a canopy or wall. The die-cast aluminum lamp is waterproof, IP67 rated and runs on 9 to 17 volts AC/DC.
