Grand specimen trees, tall facades and the big features that anchor a property are what the CLS TLL3617 is for. It is the highest output lamp in the TLL36 series, producing 1300 lumens on 17 watts, which CLS rates against a 100 watt halogen.
When does the 17 watt make sense over the 13 watt?
The TLL3613 delivers 1130 lumens, so the TLL3617 adds 170 lumens for 4 more watts. Use it where height is the problem, such as a mature oak or a two story wall, and the 13 watt cannot reach the top. On medium trees the 13 watt or the 800 lumen TLL3610 usually gives a more balanced result.
What should you plan for on the transformer side?
A few 17 watt lamps load a transformer quickly. Add up all fixture wattage, keep headroom, and check voltage drop on the long runs that typically feed large trees. The lamp accepts 9 to 17 volts AC/DC and dims with most MLV transformers or by DC voltage.
What is fixed and what do you choose?
You choose the color temperature, 2700K or 3000K, and a 20, 38 or 60 degree beam at order time. The PAR36C Tornado style body uses a wider lens and a die-cast aluminum housing rated IP67.
