The sensors at LED Spot range from motion detection to manual control. Choose between sensors similar to the Stealth 360 Sensors which detect motion with a view of 360 degrees down and the low voltage Door Jamb Switch, which controls lighting by using a door to open or close the circuit. Photocells: The Baseline Control

A photocell watches ambient light and switches the fixture at dusk and dawn, every day, adjusting itself through the seasons. Twist-lock cells plug into the standard receptacle on top of area fixtures and wall packs, button cells wire into smaller fixtures.
One cell can run one fixture or, through a contactor, a whole circuit of them. Site lighting on photocell control simply works, which is why it is the default.

Motion Sensing and High-Low Operation

Motion control suits spaces that only need light when occupied: side yards, storage areas, garages, stairwells. High-low operation is the refined version, holding a low level for orientation and stepping to full on movement, which reads safer than darkness snapping to glare.
Aim and sensitivity decide whether a sensor is trusted or ignored. Cover approaches, not the street.

Matching Controls to LED Loads

Controls have load ratings and LED loads behave differently than the incandescent loads old controls were built for. Cells and sensors rated for LED switching avoid the early failures that mismatched controls see.
