Properties with distinct lighting areas, such as a front facade, a pool deck and a back garden, often want each area on its own schedule. The CLS TFS300-R splits 300 watts across three independent zones in a 304 stainless steel enclosure, with 12, 13 and 15 volt taps and a built-in timer managed from a mobile app over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.

How do three independent zones change the design?

Each zone has two output taps and two common terminals, so the front, the pool and the garden can run separate schedules and controls without a second transformer. A security zone can stay on until dawn while the accent zones shut off at midnight.

Which tap should each run use?

The 12, 13 and 15 volt taps compensate for voltage drop on longer runs. Keep the total connected wattage across all three zones under 300 watts with some headroom. Automatic overload and short circuit protection are built in.

How far can the transformer sit from the router?

CLS lists wireless range up to 30 meters line of sight for the control module. Walls, fences and the house itself shorten that, so check signal at the mounting location on the 2.4 GHz network.
