LED Double 20 Foot Square Pole Kits

Two LED area lights on a 20 foot square straight pole for medians and center islands on mid-size lots.

Office complexes, apartment lots and restaurant pads often use a 20 foot square pole because it clears delivery trucks and still keeps fixtures easy to reach. This kit carries two LED heads back to back on that pole, with anchor bolts and a base cover included and a bronze finish throughout. You can pick 140 watt or 150 watt fixtures. Put the pole in a median between facing rows so each head covers one side. If you are swapping old metal halide poles, measure the existing bolt circle first, since reusing a foundation depends on it. Our light pole accessories page covers bases and hardware for retrofit work. Two heads set back to back count as a double 180 bracket, which LED Spot’s fixture EPA chart lists at 2.7 sq ft with a Lifestyle Small luminaire and 3.1 sq ft with a Lifestyle Medium.

How Do You Choose Between the 20 Foot Square Double Options?

The two wattages here sit close together, so other factors usually decide the order.

  • 140 watt versus 150 watt. The difference is small. Pick the one that best fits the light level your photometric layout calls for, and keep it consistent across the site.
  • Retrofit or new build. On a retrofit, the pole height, bolt pattern and base condition drive the decision as much as the fixtures do.
  • Square or round. Square poles complement modern and box-shaped buildings. The round version of this height has the same back to back layout.
  • Wider lots. Moving to the 25 foot double square kit lets you stretch spacing on larger lots, at the cost of lower light levels directly under each pole.
  • Old pole, new heads. On a retrofit, compare the existing pole’s EPA rating at your site wind speed against the double 180 figure before reusing it. Swapping fixtures changes the assembly’s EPA, so the old rating does not carry over on its own.

Ask for a layout when you request a quote, and include a site plan or aerial image.

Double 20 ft Square Questions

Two LED fixtures, a 20 foot square straight steel pole, anchor bolts and a base cover. The kit is finished in bronze and offered with 140 watt or 150 watt fixtures.

Sometimes. It depends on the bolt circle, anchor bolt size and condition of the concrete base. Send those measurements so LED Spot can check whether the kit pole fits.

A double kit lights both sides of the pole, so a single foundation covers two rows of stalls. That reduces the number of poles needed between facing rows.

Spacing depends on wattage, the target light level and lot shape. A photometric layout, available on request, gives exact pole positions instead of a rule of thumb.

On LED Spot’s chart, a double 180 assembly comes to 2.7 sq ft with a Lifestyle Small luminaire, against 1.6 sq ft for a single arm. That extra 1.1 sq ft is what the 20 foot pole has to carry at your design wind speed.
