Round tapered steel light poles reach the greatest heights in our pole line, from 20 feet up to 50 feet, in 11 gauge and 7 gauge wall. The taper concentrates steel at the base where bending load peaks, which is what lets these poles carry large multi fixture heads for sports areas, large parking fields and security lighting. Anchor base construction with base template and hardware.
Most parking lots are lit from 12 to 30 feet, so a 40 or 50 foot pole is a layout decision, not a default. Taller mounting spreads each fixture’s light wider, which can mean fewer poles across a big field, but spacing has to be set so the lot reads evenly with no hot spots or dark gaps. Photometric modeling settles the height and pole positions before anything is ordered, and photometric design is available on request.
