Fixture lead connections are where most low voltage joints happen, and a smaller connector keeps those splices tidy under mulch. The CLS A06XS is a 100 pack of small size wire connectors rated for 10 to 22 AWG conductors.

When is the small size the right pick?

Use it where the wire is 10 AWG or lighter, such as an 18 gauge fixture lead tied into 16 or 12 gauge cable. Its body measures 0.64 inch in diameter and 1.14 inches tall, so it tucks in closer to the fixture.

If a joint involves 8 AWG main line, step up to the middle size A06S, which covers 8 to 22 AWG.

Is 100 enough for one project?

A pack of 100 covers a large number of fixture splices, and leftovers become service stock for later repairs and additions.
