C9 light strings carry the larger C9 bulb on an E17 intermediate base, the size most commercial properties choose for rooflines, parapets and facades seen from the street. The bigger bulb keeps its shape at a distance, so one outline reads clearly across a parking area or campus quad. LED Spot stocks C9 strings in 25, 50 and 100 ft lengths, with green wire for evergreens and garland and white wire for white gutters, fascia and window trim. Strings are sold without bulbs and plug into standard wall outlets. Pick the wire color to match the surface first, then add C9 LED bulbs in packs of 25 to fill every socket.

How do you choose C9 light strings for a roofline?
Start with the length of each eave or edge, then settle the wire color and bulb style.
- Wire color. White wire disappears against white gutters and painted trim, while green wire hides in trees, shrubs, wreaths and garland. White C9 strings come in 25 and 50 ft, and green comes in 25 and 100 ft.
- Length. Match the string to the run so the last socket lands near the corner. The 100 ft green stringer can be custom cut and fitted with snap-on male and female plugs, sold separately.
- Bulb finish. Faceted C9 bulbs sparkle, smooth transparent bulbs give a bright clear glow, and smooth ceramic bulbs give an even, opaque color.
- Run rating. The C9 stringers are rated for runs up to 1200W, and LED bulbs keep the connected load low on long outlines.
Lighting a long building? A 1000 ft C9 string reel lets you cut each run to the exact length.
C9 Strings Questions
No. C9 strings are sold socket only so you control the bulb color and finish. LED C9 bulbs come in packs of 25 in pure white, warm white, solid colors and assorted packs.
C9 strings use the larger E17 intermediate base and bigger bulbs, which show up better from a distance on rooflines and tall walls. C7 strings use the smaller E12 base and suit windows, railings and trees at eye level. Bulbs from one size will not fit the other.
Match the wire to what it sits on. Use white wire on white gutters, soffits and trim, and green wire on trees, hedges, wreaths and garland. The right color keeps the wire from showing in daylight.
Yes. This group also carries a 48 ft, 120V bistro string with 2 ft spacing, sold without lamps. It takes 12V or 120V lamps, and 12V lamps need the optional adapter.
