Which Tree Style Fits the Space?
Grand Teton Christmas trees are the large-format choice, offered in every 2 ft step from 12 to 40 ft, pre-lit or unlit. Oregon Fir Frame Christmas trees run 12 to 20 ft, with pre-lit sizes in warm white or multi-color.
For smaller rooms, Eagle Frasier trees run 7.5 to 14 ft and Deluxe Fraser trees come in 12 and 14 ft. The slim Norwood Pine, 6 to 10 ft, fits corners and narrow entries. Flocked Kiana and Colorado Blue Spruce trees round out the range.
Pre-Lit or Unlit
Pre-lit trees come wired for their load, with the wiring run inside the limbs, so the tree is ready to light once it is assembled and there are fewer cords around the base. LED Spot stocks 37 pre-lit trees from 7.5 to 40 ft. For example, a 12 ft pre-lit Grand Teton carries 18 branches and about 3,400 LEDs, and a 26 ft carries 89 branches and more than 14,000.
Unlit trees cost less and leave the lighting up to you, which suits displays that change colors or themes between seasons. There are 29 unlit trees from 6 to 40 ft. Light them with commercial grade LED Christmas lights sized to the tree.
Sizing a Tree to Its Space
Indoors, measure floor to ceiling, subtract the stand and topper, and leave 6 to 12 inches of clearance. A 20 ft ceiling takes a tree of about 19 ft. Outdoors, scale the tree to the plaza and the buildings around it, and remember that the base gets wider as the tree gets taller. Order early. Trees under 40 ft typically ship in about 30 days, and we recommend having the tree on site by July 1. Tell us the space and the height you have in mind and we will match a style and lighting option to it.
