Mature trees, two story facades and large focal points need more punch than an MR16 well light usually delivers. The CLS IGL06B is a PAR36 in-ground well light with a beveled solid brass top in Antique Bronze, measuring 8.4 inches tall by 5.51 inches wide.
Why choose a PAR36 well light over an MR16 well?
The PAR36 lamp has a larger aperture and accepts up to 17 watts of LED or 100 watts of halogen, which suits tall trunks and wide walls. Use an MR16 well for shrubs and smaller features, and save the PAR36 for the biggest targets on the site.
What does the bevel top do in a lawn or bed?
The angled top sheds water, dirt and fallen leaves so they do not sit on the lens and dim the output. That reduces how often the lens needs clearing in planted areas.
Can I aim the lamp after it is buried?
Yes. A stainless steel gimbal inside lets you tilt and rotate the lamp to hit the target. The canister is PVC under the brass ring, sealed with a silicone gasket and tempered glass to an IP65 rating, with a 72 inch 18 gauge SPT-1W lead. CLS lists a frosted version and a hex louver option.
