Taller retaining walls, deep stone steps and heavily textured veneers need enough output to carry the light all the way down the face. The CLS HL10B (part HL10BLB) is the 3W, 300 lumen option in the 7 inch brass hardscape series, the highest output of the three.
Will 300 lumens look too bright under a capstone?
Not on darker stone or taller walls, where lower output fades before it reaches the ground. On pale stone or short walls, consider the 1W or 2W versions, or space the 3W fixtures farther apart. The frosted lens softens the source either way.
What happens if a fixture fails after the wall is built?
CLS designs this light to be serviceable, so you are not cutting it out of the masonry. The LEDs and driver are fully encapsulated, and the housing is IP65 rated.
Which mounting bracket should I use?
Two bracket types are included, so you can match the mount to the cap overhang or tread you are working with. The light runs at 12V with CRI 85+ color rendering.
