Its flat base suits tree trunks and limbs, wood posts, pergola beams, fascia and eaves. Any fixture with a 1/2 inch threaded base, which covers most landscape spotlights and downlights, threads onto it.

A mount up in a canopy is out of reach, so it should not need attention for years. Cast brass resists corrosion outdoors, and the antique bronze finish blends with bark and stained wood. At 2 inches tall and 4.5 inches across, it keeps a low profile on the trunk.
How do I allow for tree growth?
Leave slack in the cable and include the mount in routine maintenance checks so a growing trunk does not pull on the wire or swallow the base over time.
