CLS A01P1 Big Plastic Stake

$6.81

Heavy-duty PVC ground stake for anchoring spot, flood and accent fixtures in planting beds and turf, with a standard half inch threaded connection.

A fixture is only as steady as the thing holding it in the soil, and a stake that leans after the first heavy rain throws the beam off its target. The CLS A01P is a large PVC stake that threads onto a fixture with a standard 1/2 inch connection and anchors it in beds, mulch and turf.

Why pick a large stake over a short one?

At 8.37 inches tall and 2.91 inches across, the A01P has a long, reinforced spike that grips loose or amended soil better than a short stub. That matters with heavier brass spotlights and with fixtures aimed up into tall trees, where a slight shift at the base moves the beam a long way at the canopy.

Will it fit my fixtures?

Any fixture with a 1/2 inch threaded base can mount on it, which includes most landscape spotlights, flood lights and accent lights. The engineered PVC body has no metal to rust in wet soil, so the threads stay usable when a fixture is removed or re-aimed later.

Stake or surface mount: which does this location need?

Use a stake anywhere the fixture sits in soil and may need to move as plants fill in. For trees, gutters, posts and decks, a surface mount is the better choice.
