A well light in the middle of a lawn or a courtyard is seen from every side, so a one-sided shroud only solves part of the glare problem. The CLS IGL22B Titan Multi-Directional well light uses a three-way shielded turret over the lens to block direct line of sight to the lamp while still putting light where it is needed.
Why choose a three-way shielded turret?
It blocks a direct view of the lamp from several directions and removes the harsh hot spots that make a well light look like a bulb in a hole. That makes it a strong fit for open turf, courtyards and foundation plantings seen from more than one side.
What is the IGL22B built from?
The surface ring is sand-cast brass that develops a natural patina, mounted on a thick-walled PVC burial canister that protects the internals from ground pressure and moisture. High-temperature silicone O-rings and a waterproof pressure fitting suit irrigation zones, and the fixture is rated IP65.
Can I change the beam later?
Yes, by changing the lamp. The GU5.3 socket takes an MR16 LED lamp up to 8W or a halogen lamp up to 50W, so beam angle and color temperature are set by the lamp you choose.
