Walkways, drives and garden borders need light on the ground where people step, not in their eyes. The CLS PL26B Classic Series is a solid brass path light that stands 22.5 inches tall with a 7.25 inch wide head, built around an MR16 lamp behind a clear tempered glass lens.
What does an adjustable head do on a path light?
It lets you tip the light toward the walk, a border bed or a step, rather than accepting a fixed spread. On curved paths or slopes, that adjustment puts light where it is needed and keeps it off windows and neighbors.
Which MR16 lamp should I use in it?
The GU5.3 ceramic socket takes an MR16 LED up to 8 watts or a halogen up to 50 watts. Because the light source is a standard MR16, you can choose the beam and color temperature that suit the path, and change them later.
Is 22.5 inches the right height for my walkway?
It is tall enough to rise above typical border plantings and cast a wide pool on the path. The fixture is rated IP65, finished in Antique Bronze, and comes with a 72 inch 18 gauge lead for flexible placement along the walk.
