A 1000 ft C9 string reel gives you enough socket wire to outline a whole building, a row of storefronts or a tall outdoor tree, with each section cut to fit. Property managers, municipalities, schools and retail centers choose C9 reels when the display covers long eaves and parapets that call for the bigger, brighter C9 bulb. LED Spot stocks three C9 reels, each 1000 ft of 18 gauge SPT1 green wire: 800 sockets at 15 inch spacing, 1000 sockets at 12 inch spacing and 2000 sockets at 6 inch spacing. Bulbs are sold separately. Sketch each roofline with measurements before the first cut, then order LED C9 bulbs by total socket count.

Which C9 reel spacing suits your building?
All three reels share the same wire and length, so spacing and socket count are the real choice.
- 15 inch spacing, 800 sockets. The widest gap, for very long rooflines and buildings viewed from far away. It fills with 32 packs of 25 bulbs.
- 12 inch spacing, 1000 sockets. A common outline spacing for eaves, ridges and walkway edges. It fills with 40 packs.
- 6 inch spacing, 2000 sockets. The densest line, useful for wrapping large trees and columns or for bold accent edges. It fills with 80 packs.
- Cut points. Plan cuts at corners and near outlets. Every section needs its own snap-on plugs, which are sold separately.
Shorter edges and single storefronts are often easier with prebuilt C9 light strings in green or white wire.
C9 Reel 1000 ft Questions
It depends on spacing: 800 bulbs for the 15 inch reel, 1000 for the 12 inch reel and 2000 for the 6 inch reel. In packs of 25, that is 32, 40 or 80 packs. Order a little extra to keep spares on site.
All three C9 reels use 18 gauge SPT1 green wire wound on a spool. Green blends with trees, garland and darker building trim.
The larger C9 bulb holds up at distance, which matters on second-story eaves, parapets and anything seen from a road. If most of the display sits at eye level, the C7 reel may look more in proportion.
Yes. The LED C9 bulbs that fill these reels are dimmable and work with timers, dimmers and occupancy controls. Plan each section to end near a controlled outlet so the whole outline switches together.
